Rich McD is terminally ill. His wife Barb is hoping to get as many of the Robomo guys together for a memorial in the near future. Rich loved this group so much. So please spread this to all the group members that you know.

I don’t know what to say. I feel devastated because Rich was someone who helped mentor me when I was starting out. A lot of what I know and do now for robotics grew from what I learned from him. I remember him fondly from my early days in the club.
I will miss him greatly.

I’m very sorry to hear about Rich. I remember him from club meetings and his home when he held “build sessions”. Rich was a super nice guy. Tom Maiden
It was great to see all the current and former group members present at Rich’s memorial. I’m sure wherever he is, that he loved that. I’m sure he would thank you all for coming in his humble yet silly humor. (Rich-isms)
I’ve been thinking about our ole friend Rich the past few days. The question that’s been bugging me is how can we honor him and the other members who’ve passed. So I think the right answer is for us to get this old group going again. Get people posting more projects. Get people paying attention to this forum again. Bring new life to it. Challenge accepted!

Rich was a “good ol guy” that always had a smile on his face - It was great that he and his wife opened their home to many build sessions. He will be missed.
